Job update

I have a 2nd interview with EMC tomorrow (Mon.) at 1PM. I think that this will be my final interview with them, so hopefully I will hear from them soon about that.

I've been spending a lot of time in the dorms too. Its so nice having college students around again. I've met a lot of people and there is still a lot more to meet.

Next weekend I'm going to Georgia for Brooke's wedding. I can't wait! I haven't seen her in so long. There is a 3 hour layover on both there and back, so I will have to figure out ways to preoccupy myself.

quick takes

quick update
I have my truck here in Ames now and I'm excited to work on it! Time to learn how to do auto repair. :-)

We watched a movie in the dorms last night in Tiff and Amy's room. They got to move in early because they are helping freshmen move in. This was a very exciting moment for me stepping into the dorms for the first time this year. I can't wait for people to get back and move in and for stuff to start up here at ISU again!

I went camping with some other guys in the rock a few weekends ago. It was very refreshing. As we are gearing up for another year of communicating the message of Christ to students, it is nice to get rest before the first few really busy weeks of the semester. We had no schedule or agenda, just hanging out, fishing, ultimate frisbee, talking, cooking over a campfire, and whatever came to mind. It is so good to know that the guys around you are behind you and want to support you however possible. This is another reason why I can't wait for the semester to start again (even though I'm not in school anymore).

Freshmen move in later this week and lots of fun stuff will happen. I believe we are going to continue the tradition of renting the ice arena for a night so we can play some sweet broomball(explanation here). There will be a lot of meeting people and doing fun stuff like bbq, concerts, card, etc.

I can't wait...

I can't wait for school to start again. Why you may ask? Well aside from the obvious of not having to do homework, test, etc., I will also get to see so many people that left town at the end of spring. One of the guys from our floor last year (Brad) was in town for the day so we got to hang out with him for a while last night. A couple other people are back in town from Chicago and it is already August! (how time flies) It will be weird not moving into the dorms for the first fall since I left for college way back when. I will miss the dorm life; It is so much fun! But I will still be in the dorms next year, visiting this time, hopefully making a difference in peoples lives.

On a side note, I should say that I have started listening to country music. A thing I never thought I would do 5 years ago, but some of it is actually pretty good. I don't see it replacing my rock music, but why not expand my musical knowledge.
